Everything was fine except that we heard loud knocking a good part of the night and the room across from us had their door open and they were very loud. Had difficulty in trying to sleep.

The rooms are small, and feel like they are on the edge of needing an overhaul. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was a little thin, but it was there. Good waffles! The price is right, but the pool is outdoors and closed until April. There was a small hole in our room carpet and a cigarette burn on one of the bed covers.

The hotel was a good stop for us, heading up to Mendocino. The service was friendly and the rooms were clean. We wanted something convenient but the traffic noise from the freeway was a little much. The hotel is literally 15 feet from the freeway. At night, you could hear the Semi's going by and if you are a light sleeper, it can be an issue. Neverless, it was very convenient.

Pros: Nice decor(above the floor), interior hallways, decent breakfast, not loud, beds nice. Cons: Small vanity strangely placed. Carpet not vacuumed & didn't match other decor. (Wife was tired and didn't notice.) Room a bit tight, despite 2 double beds (not queens).

I was very surprised to find that on the first night there was no shampoo in the room. When we asked for shampoo the next morning we were told that the hotel was out of shampoo. The second morning we discovered that the coffee we had used the day before or the drink glasses had not been replaced. When we called about this, there was no offer of apology or offer to bring some to our room. Also, they were still out of shampoo. It was almost like we were in some foreign country and not Santa Rosa.
